Innovative reusable adhesive hardens in light and
disintegrates in the microwave
An adhesive developed by Prof. Shlomo Magdassi of the Institute of Chemistry and Prof. Hanna Dodiuk of Shenkar College makes it possible to glue together materials within half a minute with the help of low-intensity light, and to easily separate the bond using a home microwave. The adhesive, which was developed in Natanel Jarach's doctoral research and published in Advanced Materials, does not require solvents or high temparatures, retains its properties even after repeated uses, and offers an
innovative and environmentally friendly solution for the fields of packaging, electronics, and medicine.
