A new study, led by Dr. Assaf Hochman of the Fredy and Nadine Herrman Institute of Earth Sciences and conducted in collaboration with NASA, the University of Oxford, and other institutions, has found that an explosion of radiation from a parent star can change the climate of a planet in a matter of days, even without a flow of charged particles. The findings were published in the Astronomical Journal.
